What's included in Folio Free and Folio Premium?

Folio is free for up to five active projects, and every writing tool is included. Folio Premium is a one-time $49.99 purchase, not a subscription. It removes the project limit and adds Word export, import from Word and Scrivener, full version history, offline sync and automatic backup files.

Premium is a one-time purchase
You pay once. There is no subscription to cancel and no renewal. The license covers Folio and every Premium feature listed here. We may add features later, and some may be sold separately.
What happens at the five-project limit?
Nothing is deleted or locked. Free allows five active projects at a time. To start another, archive one you're not working on. Archived projects stay yours and can be brought back whenever you have room.
Refunds
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing us. When a refund is issued your account goes back to Free right away. Nothing is deleted: projects over the Free limit stay readable and exportable but can't be edited.

Will I get a receipt when I buy Folio Premium?
Yes. Stripe, our payment processor, emails you a receipt when you buy.
Can I get a refund on Folio Premium?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase. Email us and, once the refund is issued, your account returns to Free. Nothing you wrote is deleted.
